Band Stand

The Victorian band stand in West park.

New Trams

Took the Metro to Birmingham today. I don't know who designed the seats on the new trams, or what shape body they had in mind, but I do know that they are the most uncomfortable seats on any public transport I've used.

New Shop

At last the empty shop in Dudley street has reopened, as an economy eating venue.

Land Clearance

This land at the side of Waitrose car park has been derelict for many years since a factory was demolished. Now the diggers have moved in and it looks as if some construction is about to begin.

Bilston Street

Faces night club and Metro tram terminus. The red brick building is the adult college, hairdressing and cookery section.

The Cotoneaster has plenty of berries for the birds. Sign of a hard winter to come they say.

Repairs are about to begin in Berry street to improve access to the rear of the Grand theatre ( the square building on the left.

In Birches Barn road. Originally a farm house until the surrounding land was sold off to build a housing estate.

Tomatoes

My Marmande tomatoes are swelling nicely, and one or two are starting to change colour. Some warmer weather would help them on their way.

Erratic Boulder

This boulder of Felsite travelled to Wolverhampton from Wales during the ice age. It now resides in West Park.
