Erratic Boulder

This boulder of Felsite travelled to Wolverhampton from Wales during the ice age. It now resides in West Park.

  1. A testament to the power of ice. We've got glacial erratics from the Canadian Shield all over areas to the south.

  2. Post after post during this Theme Day, I am learning things I had no idea about. I guess it makes sense that slowly moving ice pushes everything before it. How very curious. I did not know the term "erratics" either.

  3. How about that...something to look out for on next visit to Wolverhampton.
