Visitor


This green woodpecker visited my front lawn this morning. It is obviously making a good meal of the ants as it was there for about 15 minutes,

    Very shy they are, we call them Gröngölingar.

    Rather different than the woodpeckers we see here. I've rarely seen them on the ground; they're either on a tree or eating from a suet feeder.
