Bench


This concrete bench in Princess street was commissioned from China at a cost of £20,000. Locals consider that the public money could have been put to better use.

    It is an unusual shape. I think if it were a different material it would be more appealing, but concrete for a bench doesn't seem suitable.

    I'm all for art but there are scores of British sculptors who could have provided something better.
