A Boxing day visitor. Having a happier time than his ancestors who had the Boxing day hunts to contend with.

Jumping in Queen Square

How about a jump on a Bungee Trampoline if you are bored with Christmas shopping? I wonder what Prince Albert on his horse would have thought about it?

Monday 22 December 2014

Metro

This should be the main Tram stop to Birmingham but at the moment it is closed. This is because of a hole opening up on the track between this and the next stop apparently due to old mine workings no one was aware of. Luckily it didn't happen when a tram was passing over it.

This modest patch of grass was, I think, our very small playing field at the back of Neachells lane Primary school.

Umbrellas in Queen street. Probably not much use in the gale force winds forcast for the rest of the week.

Monday 8 December 2014

Everything is looking very wintery now. There is even a little snow visible on the Brown Clee hill, but at least that is thirty miles away.

This worker seems to have removed his hard hat and is taking a break to make a phone call.

My Road in December

A few years ago several people decorated their homes for the festive season. But times change, children grow up or families move away. Now things look very sombre.
