Arcade entrance to the Mander centre from Dudley Street. This replaced the original Central arcade which was destroyed by a fire in 1974.

Gregory's

The Dog and Partridge 17th century pub in Wednesfield. Known as Gregory's to the locals after the family that owned it for many years. The nearby bridge is also called Gregory's bridge.

Butterfly

Speckled Wood butterfly in my garden. There don't seem as many butterflies this year as previously.

Saxon Pillar

Dating from the 9th Century, this pillar is in St. Peter's churchyard.

Street sign # 1

This harks back to the Middle Ages when Wolverhampton was a leading town in the wool and cloth trade.

Sculpture

A new Sainsbury's opened last week. This sculpture is in the car park. It reminds me of the Olympic torch.

Darlington Street

Looking down Darlington Street towards Chapel Ash. The church in the distance is St. Mark's which became redundant in 1978 and now houses offices.

The old town hall now used as the magistrates court. Council services are now based at the new Civic Centre.

The Posada

Public house in Lichfield Street. My great grandfather was the lincensee here for a brief time in 1900.

Fountain

There seems to be some discussion by the Horsman Fountain in St. Peter's gardens. This is often the target of student pranks at this time of year.

The Tour .......

......... no not that one! This was the Tour of Britain in 2008 passing along Coalway road. The school children enjoyed missing lessons to watch the cyclists on their way through Wolverhampton.
